Distribution

Our national distribution centre is the only one of its kind. Nationally, we have a fleet of vehicles visiting every major town in Ireland every day of the week, 364 days of the year. Internationally, we have a strong import network from Europe operating seven days a week, as well as links to distributors outbound.

We operate four trading and distribution facilities in Europe: three in Ireland (Dublin City, north Dublin and Cork and one in Spain (Valencia). Our Dublin City and Cork branches main activities are the sale of produce at wholesale level. Oldtown houses a state of the art national Distribution Centre, an entirely temperature-controlled main distribution hub for our business in Ireland.

With over 30 years experience in temperature-controlled logistics, Sam Dennigan and Company operates a consolidation service for retailers and suppliers alike. We provide a complete logistics and distribution solution for all fresh produce, meat and dairy, as well as for ambient products. Our customers benefit from a decrease in stock, uniform quality control, less administration and fewer disruptive deliveries to stores.

Sustained investment in technology over the last number of years means that Sam Dennigan is a future-proof industry leader in this regard. ‘Prophet’, our Windows-based ERP system, manages most aspects of our business, from Finance to Shipping. Coupled with the backend software, we have all of today’s necessary technologies, including RFID, VOICE, WIFI, EDI, DR, and possess three-level failsafe security both on data management and operations.

Operating a fleet of self-maintained vehicles is another parameter that separates us from the competition. We service, maintain, manage and operate our entire transport department in-house. All of our transport staff are trained in-house and by an external body to ensure professional and safe deliveries.
