When?

1976

Company formed by Samuel Laurence Dennigan and began trading in seed and ware potatoes in Oldtown.

1991/1992

Two large controlled atmosphere box stores (4,500 tonnes capacity) built in Oldtown. Innovative in Ireland at that time, in that the Company could secure potatoes at harvest - time and store for it's customers.

1993

The company began trading at wholesale level in the Dublin Wholesale fruit and vegetable market at 21 Halston Street. This move was significant in that, the full range of fresh produce was now being traded.

1995

New packhouse with state of the art ,washing, grading and packaging equipment, built in Oldtown.


1996

Cork branch opened.

1999

Sam Dennigan and Company became the leading fresh produce supplier to Ireland's largest retail chain, Dunnes Stores. Further construction on site in Oldtown led to the creation of a Central Distribution Centre(CDC) to service this new outlet.

2000

Spanish office opened. This consolidated Spanish procurement and sales both to Ireland and other European countries.


2006
Company chosen as distributor for meat, poultry and dairy produce to Ireland's leading supermarket chain, Dunnes Stores.
