Sunrise
Sam Dennigan and Company are very pleased to announce the launch of the new variety of potato called Sunrise. This variety was bred in Scotland by a lovely lady called Zella Doig. The variety is grown by selected producers in Ireland for Sam Dennigan and Company to ensure the consistent great creamy taste and floury texture. This is a very versatile potato and can be mashed, boiled, roasted, chipped or baked. We know that everybody today has a hectic lifestyle, so we’ve developed the Sam Dennigan Easy Cook instructions to make your day just a little more hassle - free. Meet the Spuds!
Sam Dennigan and Company launched their Meet the Spuds retail campaign at their Head Office in Oldtown, Co. Dublin on the 3rd of November 2008. Local primary school children will be shown the fruits of their labour as The Meet the Spuds growing challenge comes out of the classroom and on to the shelf, for a limited time only. The packs are available to buy in Dunnes Stores nationwide from the 1st of November 2008. This is a part of the UN initiative of the International Year of the Potato 2008.
Perfect Portions
"Perfect Portions" is the innovative new way to enjoy potatoes without having to worry about large pack sizes, waste or simply having too many spuds. There are either 5/6 potatoes per pack, they are all roughly the same size, and if you or your family like potatoes but don't necessarily have them every day, this is the pack for you. Rooster is the variety in the pack, and they are grown by Sam Dennigan approved producers to ensure taste and quality is second to none.
Bake Me in 4 Minutes
Bake Me Rooster Bakers are a great idea for the lunch box. We've developed a microwavable film which speeds up the heating process and enables you to have a perfectly cooked baked potato in the blink of an eye. As the name suggests, just pop it in the microwave for four minutes (older microwaves may need extra time), and "hey presto!", a healthy lunchtime snack.
