"Farm to fork in twenty - four hours" is the company's objective. Again, the strategic location of our CDC(Central Distribution Centre) at Oldtown, the epicentre of vegetable production, ensures that the freshest, local produce arrives for distribution. The Company's chilled transport units maintain this freshness under optimum cool temperatures until product reaches the customer. When Irish produce is unavailable or out of season, the gap is filled by our European suppliers, all Eurepgap accredited.
The Company regards our Irish supply base as one of our greatest assets. Many of these same farm families who began trading with the Company in 1976, are still doing so today - three generations later.
